Two years ago, we opened our doors as a cannabis dispensary in Bloomfield, NJ with a simple goal: build the kind of place we would want to shop at. Not just a transaction. Not just a counter. But a place where everybody knows your name.
JUST KIDDING, that’s “Cheers” we know that… but it’s also kinda true! We wanted Nightjar to feel warm and to feel human. We wanted it to be a place that cares about the experience you have while you’re shopping in-store, but also the experience you have when you bring your products home because quality and variety matter to us too.
Last month, we celebrated our Bloomfield Cannabis Dispensary’s 2nd Anniversary (our “Cannaversary”) at BrwnBox in Orange, NJ, just minutes from Bloomfield, Montclair, and Newark. The turnout said everything. It was full. It was loud. It felt like Bloomfield showed up and brought Essex County with it.
From the moment doors opened, the space split into two energies. Upstairs: vendors, product education, dabs, mocktails, tacos, dancing, chatting, and a gorgeous red velvet sparkly cake. Downstairs: tattoos, video games, crafts, and disco-ball decorating. Oh! And a 360 booth that stayed busy all night. Our friends came in from Montclair, Newark, Glen Ridge, Belleville, and right here in Bloomfield. And they stayed, they learned, they connected, and we all had a ton of fun.
We hosted the event at BrwnBox, a creative event space in Orange, NJ known for hosting community-driven gatherings across Essex County. Located just minutes from our Bloomfield cannabis dispensary, BrwnBox sits between Montclair and Newark, making it an ideal hub for North Jersey.
Perhaps the key ingredient in the night’s magic was our vendors and partners who essentially co-hosted the event with us, and wowed our guests with education and new products. These brands didn’t just send products, they engaged directly with our customers who shop our cannabis menu every week and made real connections.
