Yes, you must be 21 or older and have a valid ID to buy recreational cannabis in Connecticut. However, medical cannabis patients under 21 can qualify if they are certified by a licensed provider and registered with the state's Medical Marijuana Program. Certain products may also be restricted for patients under 18 years of age.

Cannabis use is legal in private residences, as long as the property owner allows it. You cannot smoke or vape in public spaces where tobacco is banned—this includes parks, beaches, sidewalks, and state-owned property. When in doubt, keep it private and respectful.

We accept cash, debit cards, and Dutchie Pay, and there’s an ATM on site for added convenience. Whether you're coming from downtown Westbrook or breakfast at Cristy’s, payment is easy and seamless.

Recreational users can purchase up to 1 ounce per visit. Legally, you may carry 1.5 ounces in public and keep 5 ounces at home.

In Connecticut, medical marijuana patients can buy up to 5 ounces of cannabis per month from licensed dispensaries. Unlike recreational users, medical patients don’t have per-visit limits, giving them more flexibility to meet their health needs. Patients can carry up to 2.5 ounces at a time, with any remaining cannabis safely stored at home, preferably in a locked container.

You must renew your Connecticut medical cannabis card annually. Begin the renewal process at least 30 days before expiration to avoid any interruptions. To renew, get a new certification from a Connecticut-licensed provider and submit your renewal through the state’s online portal.
